Call for Nominations: 2025 AMA Tech SIG Doctoral Student Award

The Innovation, Technology, and Interactivity Special Interest Group (Tech SIG) of the American Marketing Association is now accepting nominations for the 2025 AMA Tech SIG Doctoral Student Award. This award recognizes outstanding doctoral student who has the potential to make significant contributions to the fields of innovation, technology, and interactivity in marketing.

 

Eligibility:

Nominees must be currently enrolled in an AACSB-accredited PhD program in marketing or a related discipline.

 

Award Evaluation Criteria:

The selection committee, composed of distinguished marketing scholars, will evaluate nominations based on:

  • The originality and significance of the PhD student’s research to the domains of innovation, technology, and interactivity.

  • The potential for making enduring contributions to research and practice.

 

Submission Requirements:

  1. A nomination letter (maximum two double-spaced pages) that highlights the PhD student’s contributions to the domains of innovation, technology, and interactivity (self-nominations are welcome).

  2. A current CV.

  3. Mention “AMA Tech SIG Doctoral Student Award Nomination” in the email subject line.

  4. The nominee must be a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Tech SIG at the time of the nomination. Tech SIG membership is free for all AMA members. To add Tech SIG to your membership profile, fill out this form to send your SIG selection to the AMA Customer Support team, and they will be able to add the SIG designation to your membership.

 

Submission Deadline:

All materials must be submitted in a single PDF file to Vamsi Kanuri (vkanuri@nd.edu) and Ju-Yeon Lee (leejy@iastate.edu) by November 15th, 2024.

Please submit nominations with the ‘subject line’ of the email mentioning [2025 Tech SIG Doctoral Student Award].

 

The winner will be announced at the 2025 AMA Winter Educators’ Conference.
